Breathing Technique

I've been known to not be able to run long distance.
--> Today i figured out why.
--->I forget to breathe.

Today, i ran home from the station, and i wasn't tired after i was home, carrying a bag. I used the breathe(in + in + out) technique.

Figured it out after all these years (!!) ...and my facial expression --> %$_@*

do you mean "wrong breathing technique"? lol.. no one can run for 15 minutes without breathing..

to jason: i find breathing the wrong way helps when swimming, that is inhale with your mouth, exhale with your nose in a typical swim style. try it the next time you head to the swimming pool, i can do 80 laps with that technique, it's miraculous!

haha, thanks for the tips darryl! I haven't been swimming in about 4 years anyway but I'll try keep it in mind for when I do!

I'll stick to jogging but I'm finding it difficult to sustain more than 9.5km/h. :(

trust me sam, i use to be able to do only 5, and with that wrong breathing style, 80 laps is nothing.

so it seems wrong can be right in different cases!

jason: never ask me to jog, never good at it. and 9.5km is incredible, i doubt i can do that without feeling painful near my stomach, LOL. are you aiming for marathon competition?

darryl: nah, I'm just running away from cute girls ;)
actually, my hand-eye co-ord is pretty bad so there's not much else to do. I might be doing the "Great Australian Run" end November if uni club pays for it.

As for swimming... I barely came in under 120seconds for 2*25metres. Avoided 'punishment' swim classes.
