Reverse Culture Shock

The biggest reverse culture shock i have received after coming back to Australia is:

--> When i walk towards someone who is walking towards me, i steer right. And i hit them, sometimes. It has never been so severe before.

That is all.

Going on to another topic, birthday gifts and cards can be given to me at any time of the year (not that i'm expecting them).

Here's one i received not long ago.

Thanks girl and boy. Something weird like this is so fascinating to me.

Chinese A-Z II

"A" stands for Chinese Aerobic Morning Exercisers

Man dances shamelessly in mall walkway

Old energetic people doing some early morning taichi - out of sync

"B" stands for Chinese Bikey Gang

Took a while for these men to line up and pose - inside 'old-style street' of Shanghai

"C" stands for Chinese Christian Revival

Anymore obvious, and this shop would close down

"D" stands for Chinese Drinks Deliverer

Men who deliver these drinks usually have very very strong leg muscles, however little they may seem

"E" stands for Chinese Exotic Bird Performance

Sequence of events: (1) Customer pays bird owners money, (2) bird owners go onto the boat and order the birds to jump into the water, (3) birds look for fish in the water and come back up after 10 seconds, (4) if the birds don't come out of the water with fish, the customer gets their money back

"F" stands for Chinese Foreigner (at the Markets)

The t-shirt the 'lao wai' foreigner is wearing says: "No DVD, No Watch, No Souvenir, No Handbag, No Sunglasses, No Tattoo, No... Maybe Massage"

"G" stands for Chinese Garden Water Waster (!)

Man wasting water in Fudan University - On-lookers not impressed

(Picture of the time frame - but it is too wide!) Wonder Girls - look it up Google
